One of the major projects we are working on this term is publishing our first book on the iBook store. Over the last term we have been refining our ‘Origin Story’ narratives and our final versions are due this week. Once they have been submitted they will be collated into a short stories collection that we will publish on the iBook store.
This has been a great experience so far, providing an opportunity to rework our writing until it is at it’s best. Over the next couple of weeks we will learn about how to publish a iBook as well as format and edit a book in preparation for this.
We expect our final book to hit the store by the middle of this term. The picture above is the current proof of our cover artwork. We look forward to sharing more with you as we get closer to publishing.

I didn’t know what I was feeling my body was shaking the I woken up by my Mum shaking me saying it’s 10:00 you need to get up. I started stretching and I said can I just have five minutes. I got up and got dressed . I was having breakfast and my mum broke the news to me. I was adopted. My mum said your name isn’t Parker Sanderson it Parker John.for the rest of the day I wasn’t feeling up to anything.
The next day I did nothing because I was still mad and my mum said I could meet my real mum. I was nervous but I said, yes. The next I got up to my alarm and got ready to meet my real mum. On the way to meet my real mum I said I’m nervous to my adopted mum. When we got my real mum’s house I asked her why did you adopt me and when did you adopt me.she said that she adopted me because she just didn’t have the money and I adopted you straight away.
My adopted mum said that I would be able to met my real dad but sadly he died in the army 12 years ago. She was telling me my dad died from a gunshot from the North Korean army because he bled to death.I was really sad that day.I was thinking about if my dad or mum had ever had a partners so I called my mum and asked she said she had one but he wasn’t nice so they broke up 2 years ago.
My grandma and grandpa wanted to meet me so we went to their house to meet them. When I first got there my grandma started crying because She saw me as a baby and now she’s seen me now and how much I’ve grown and they got really emotional.

Hard wind whistled through the treetops, even though it was just the end of February. But it was no ordinary wind. Change* flew on its back. It turned another corner and alighted on the windowsill of Braebree Hospital. Silently, Change slithered off the winds back and crept under the window frame. It glided through the Pregnancy Ward, and, sliding under the blue privacy curtains, perched on the end of a red haired womans bed, just as she opened her eyes.
Dong… dong… dong…
The Hospital clock began to chime midnight. Change knew it was time, even before he laid eyes on the three, squealing baby girls. They were the chosen ones of the century. He felt it without a doubt. So just as the final chime struck, Change crawled off the bed rail and touched the triplets hearts, leaving nothing but the slightest imprint. How many times change had done this he couldn’t count. They would carry change around with them for evermore now, and it would follow them until they had fulfilled their unescapable destinies. His work being done, Change soared out of the ward echoing with the blessed-or possibly cursed?- girls squeals as silently as a shadow, as if he was never there. But of course he had been. For now change would be part of Arianna, Emerald and Genevieve Pageknightley, and it would emerge from within them whenever and wherever it was needed…
*Change is a spirit.
