Dance Demonstrations
On Thursday we had a press conference, where every team gave a preview of their dance and the GM’s discussed plans for the opening ceremony at the beginning of the tournament. You will be writing an opinion piece about the dances and your thoughts on the opening ceremony, this should follow a different structure to your last few blog posts as this is your opinion. Since you are trying to convey your opinion and convince others of it, your blog should follow the format of an exposition; beginning with an introductory paragraph (~110 words), three main points that you’d like to make (paragraphs of ~70 words each) and a conclusion (70-90 words)

This weeks press conference is about their dances. Not to be cocky or anything but I think the Vicious Tigers (my group) have got the best. Some of the dances I think are trash like (Thunder Cats) manly because they only have one bit of dancing. The Tofu Titans I think have a good dance but it would’ve been better if they had their original song (Black Betty). There is a really good dance which is very good and their name is QuickSilver Kickers
Not only we had Dances we also had a Press Conference. The people that were speaking were the General Managers and they were Kye, Cody, Daniel, Ella and Brianna. I think Brianna (one of the General Manager) should’ve been ready and organised more because she didn’t know how to ask one of the questions and had Cody to answer her. Some of the General Managers were very confident in their speeches but there was one or two General Managers who looked a little bit shy. Other than that the press conference was pretty good the reporters had very good questions and spoke really well.

Dance Demonstration blog 5
On Thursday the 9/11/17 we had a press conference where we showed off our dances to the class. After we had finished our dances we had a chat with the general managers about how the opening tournament would be set up. Some of the general managers asked how you’re going with the banners and how your team is cooperating with each other.
The reason why the dances were done on that day is because it was one of the days where we had room and where no one was in the atrium. So we showed our dances to the class and with Miss Thomas, Mr Natar and the teachers gave us all some tips on how to get more out of our dances.

Opening Ceremony
Opening ceremony will be amazing. So I strongly believe that this will be the best Opening Ceremony in 20 years. I also encourage you to come along. Each team has a dance that will be performed in the Opening Ceremony with a chart. The dances are supposed to take a 1 minute to perform.
The Opening Ceremony will one of the best Opening Ceremonies of all time. The dances are coming around really well every dance actually looks like a proper dances but I think the best dance so far is Quicksliverkickers in 2 place I think is To Fu Titans in 3 place Vicious Tigers 4th place Thunder cats but in the end I think all dances will be evenly good.
The dances will be performed first at the Opening Ceremony but after the speeches. Our team dance was made by me Ethan.c and Daniel but then Jesse came up with a dance move by mistake that’s actually kind of good.
These are our dance moves order: We step to the left we step to the right step to the left repeat 5 times then punch left right left 4 times and then do a wave at the same as moving to the right and then left 5 times then line up in a line and do radom movements with your arm then the 1st person at the front of the line will bend down and everyone will jump over him or her except the 2 last people at the back of the line move out in a opposite direction and act like a star.
I strongly believe this Opening Ceremony will be the best one ever and I encourage you to come and watch us play.

Team dances
This week the teams showed their dances to the teams. So far I think they are coming along alright. Some teams though have to practise more and need to make sure everyone’s on the same page. Basically all the dances I’ve seen just one of them has any resemblance to their name choice. The only one I’ve seen is the flaming cobras hiss at the end of their dance. I think the dances need more work! Why?
Firstly during practices they need to be more focused on the dance than individual moves because in the dances they did moves better than others. They also need to use their time wisely because none of the teams were fully ready. They seem to be doing all the things they need to be doing during practice just not consistently and without getting off task.
Secondly
Some people in the dances didn’t know what they were doing and it was clear that they weren’t on the same page. So I think teams should practise more with everyone and tell them what to do and if their struggling the choreographer can help them by themselves so they can focus on the one person and give them extra training. If everyone was all on the same page then the dances might look really good.
Thirdly
I think The dances are pretty good when it’s comes to what moves there are and the timing of the moves on the beats but some are just a bit out of time. I reckon if they practiced getting the moves with the beats a bit more and the dance moves in time with each other the dances would look perfect.
With that said I think we need more time on our dances so we can make them perfect and teams need to work harder.

This week the general managers of each team talked about their teams dances and how the day is going to go. This was the fifth meeting the next meeting will involve the art directors
Ellas dance is the best because everyone is in time and working well together
She says her team is ready for the day.Brianna on the other hand says her team is not ready and is not enthusiastic. Cody’s team has a bit to go with the dance he says the day will look good he says his team has trained hard and well and is ready for the day.Daniel’s team’s dance was good he says his team has good strategies
Kyes team is enthusiastic and kye says his team has good offence but bad defence.
Overall I think the day will go very well.

Last week on Thursday we had a press conference and we showed the classes our dances. Everyone’s dance looked good but needed a tiny bit of practice and one team had nothing to show because of absence and other reasons. At the press conference the General Managers spoke about the opening ceremony. The General Managers are Ella, Cody, Kye, Daniel and myself. Some of the General Managers spoke confidently and some of them said a few words and then let out a little giggle.
The opening ceremony personally is going to look awesome. In the ceremony we will march our banners down to the oval then each team’s General Manager will introduce their team and the team will have five minutes to perform their chant and dance. After that Mr. Freeman, Mr. Lamshed and Mr. Natar will speak. Then we will get onto the games. I think that each team’s dance, chant, banner and teamwork looks really good.
Not to be rude or anything but I think that The Vicious Tigers are looking the best because they are all confident and not shy. I also like how they are not taking it real seriously like they are being funny but in the same way making a really good dance.
All together I think the opening ceremony and the days will look awesome. I think that the day is going to be really fun and i’d like to thank everyone that is involved.

We had a press conference and demonstrated our dance the dance is going to be in the open ceremony which the general are organising the open ceremony and that is where we are performing our dance and we need to talk about why our dance is better than others the teams that performed in the dances are the quicksilver kickers are nick, Cody, zico, lily and Kalani the thundercats are Brianna, Isaiah, Edward amber and Isabel the flaming cobras are Ethan.m, Isaiah, Nora and alka the tofu titans are Jesse, Calvin, savanna, Ethan.c and Daniel.
Firstly I think our dance is strongly the best because we have a good choice of song and we have a lot of athletic people in our group.
Secondly our team is always listening to what our group has to say about the dance we always work together as a team and listen to what everyone has to say about other dances.
Thirdly the other dances are behind in their dances they have not finished and there songs are not as good as ours. And our team is all done our dance.
And these are the reasons why I think our group has the best dance.

Personally I think that the opening ceremony will be a little boring.
Well to start it off I really don’t like the sports day opening ceremonies can be really boring when you are sitting there waiting for all of the other classes To go and sit down and sometimes it takes a long time then mr heaner does a speech and that takes a minute then the dance, chants and coaches speeches
Second the chants can get really repetitive and boring after singing them once while walking down you would think that would be enough but no they want you to sing them 3 Maybe 4 times when one is enough.
Last but not least the dances are the same thing every year the normal punches and Criss crosses you would think people would get a bit bored of the same moves over and over so they would do new ones but no.
So I think personally That the opening ceremony will be the same as sports day and be pretty boring that’s just my opinion but your opinion may be different you may really like the opening ceremony It that’s my opinion about the opening ceremony

We had another press conference. It was with the general managers this time. We also showed our dances so far. I think the dances will turn out really well and these are the reasons why.
Firstly the dances are looking really good so far. Some are looking better than others but we still have much more time.
Secondly the teams have been working really well on them. By the day the dances should be great.
Thirdly the teams have been working really hard on the dances. With all the work that has been put into them they should turn out really good.
The dances should turn out really good but if course I can’t see the future so I don’t know.
