Art Directors
On Thursday we had a press conference, where the Art Directors for each team gave an update on preliminary designs for banners, uniforms, team logos etc. You will be providing a general update to the public on how the designs are progressing and what teams have so far, you will also be providing an opinion on one or some of the designs being presented. Since you are trying to convey your opinion and convince others of it, your blog should follow the format of an exposition; beginning with an introductory paragraph (60-70 words), three main points that you’d like to make (paragraphs of ~60 words each) and a conclusion (50-60 words).

This week we had media week where each team showed the media all of our banners, tops, chants and dances. We also explained the upcoming tournament.
We’ve checked in on how the banners and T-shirts.
The Flaming Cobras banner has been finished and perfected And it’s looking great there signature cobra is amazing and will Catch your eye. But I like the Vicious Tigers flames on their banner it’s got a really nice blend of Colour.
I like the the Quicksilver Kickers design. Their flaming helmet looks really nice. But the Tofu Titan have a nice banner based on a grey shield and really good looking blue thunderbolt.
But back to the Cobras they have a good red background.
So all of the banners are good in there different ways.

Making of the banners
When we had the press conference about the creating of the banners. We had a talk with the five team art directors, Savannah, Alka, Jordan, Amber and Myself, were they showing off the draft of the banner on the A3 paper. It was asked what would you mostly like to change on the banners. Some said they wanted the main image to change while some wanted to the names in different spots. I noticed that the five art directors explained how their team banners were going and when they would finish them.
Three points of views
The Quiksilver team appear on schedule and have been making good progress as a team. A question was asked of me as to what we might change on the banner, the response was to alter the positioning of the names of the team.
Ambers team, Thundercats appear to be well ahead, change of design from the draft to the actual banner. They have in fact stated they finished it at the press conference.
Alka presented her draft with a potential profile of what’s required, Kye was the most efficient and effective utilising picollage within the team. Alka appears happy with her teams contribution and efforts. They appear really connected as a team.
In conclusion, the progress for the banners, the deadlines for the banners all seem on target. The teams appear to be working together well and by the time the tournament takes place, we will have the chant, dance, banner, shirts will be ready. Confident that training is going to plan. Excited for the day to finally come. Go Quiksilver Kickers !

This week we had media week were the teams would set up a press conference were the rest of the school can come and ask our teams some questions about the teams and the activities we are doing in class. The teams also showed us there banners.
My first point is the banners are really good and well thought out. The teams made banners have had a lot of creative thought put into them and they look really good and even better there all original.
My second point is about media week where each team held a press conference in front of anyone that wanted to come out. The teams spoke well and answered questions really well and I think that because of this we will get a lot of people out to watch us on Monday.
My third point is about the t-shirts. I think the teams have put a lot of effort into the designs and everyone is working together to get it done. A lot of teams got each other’s shirt which helps people if they can’t get to the shop to buy a t shirt.
In conclusion I think the teams have done really well this week in the lead up to the carnival and the carnival is looking really good and I can’t wait to play in it.

Team banners
Recently all the teams had another press conference,this time on their banners. So far the banners are looking great but so far i think the best is the tofu Titans. All the others were great and I won’t hide that but our banner just really stood out. The others were good designs but I think our colours are balanced out better and everything’s in the right spot. Some were also a bit bland with not much to look at on the page. But I guess some have bigger objects with more detail. Also the art directors have done a great job and I think all the teams have everyone contributing well. Also the banners are starting to look like the diagrams now!. The tofu Titans had a shield and a lightning strike and all the teams hand prints. This is why I think the tofu Titans banner was the best.
This is why!
Firstly I think tofu Titans was the best because they had a lot of different colours and the had some different colours to other teams which I think makes it stand out more.
Also the handprints of each player is very creative to and also makes it something we can look back on to remember. Also the blue lightning bolt is interesting instead of just a plain old yellow bolt. We hav chosen our colours well and the purple was hard to make so that’s good too.
Secondly I think ours is the best because of how we did our lettering and our creative name choice. Our lettering is made to look 3D and have a shadow with a light on them. And it also kind of looks a bit olden dayish. We didn’t decide to do anything representing tofu because we were more wanting to focus on the titan. Also the art director (savanna) has done a great job with the team designing the finished product.
Thirdly I think ours is better looking because the names are in block letters and some other banners don’t have that. Also even though we painted really far over the lines it still looks good. And we also fixed up most of the mistakes which was very lucky because some colours the white paint doesn’t fix. The shirts are also coming along nicely but we are yet to do the front. But I reckon they’ll be as good as the banner!
So that’s why I think that tofu Titans banner and shirt will be the best. All the other teams are doing well as well and there banners were good to. The shirts also. Well done team and teams,good job!
